Job Description

The Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders (CVMD) Programme at Duke-NUS houses state-of-the-art technologies for profiling mitochondrial function, RNA-based therapeutics, and metabolic adaptations in human patients and relevant model systems. The programme undertakes translational and clinical research in cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, with a strong emphasis on therapeutic development, including lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-based RNA delivery platforms.

We are seeking a highly motivated (Senior) Research Assistant to support RNA therapeutics programs, with lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation and delivery as a core component of the role. The successful candidate will play a key hands-on role in RNA synthesis/handling, LNP formulation and optimization, and downstream in vitro and in vivo validation in cardiovascular disease models.

  • Perform tasks and support all aspects of assigned research projects under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or designate.
  • Conduct accurate monitoring, documentation, and reporting of experimental results and research findings.
  • Evaluate and interpret data, and prepare oral presentations, written reports, scientific manuscripts, and literature reviews.
  • Assist researchers in aspects of project management, laboratory demonstrations, and guidance of undergraduate or medical students.
  • Establish and maintain work procedures to ensure high laboratory efficiency, productivity, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Provide technical support, assist with general laboratory upkeep, and support ongoing research projects.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
Job Requirements
