Job summary

An engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Repair & Development Engineer to enhance and repair aero-engine components. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aeronautical Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in aerospace repair. Responsibilities include preparing work instructions, managing qualifications, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. This position offers a salary of up to $6,500 per month and requires compliance with health and safety rules.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new machine and process qualifications.
  • Implement process improvements.
  • Prepare First Article inspection reports.
  • Provide technical recommendations to the Operations team.
  • Support continuous improvement/Kaizen projects.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations.

General Information
  • Working days & hours: Mon–Fri, 7:30am–4:48pm
  • Working location: Changi (transport pick-up provided)
  • Salary: up to $6,500
Job Responsibilities

To organise the improvement and repair of aero‑engine components as well as provide support to the company by offering guidance and completing other engineering‑related duties.

  • Prepare and maintain work instructions for repairs while also initiating and developing new repairs for aero‑engine components.
  • Perform tooling/fixture design.
  • Ensure compliance to OEM technical data and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage new machine and process qualifications.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance robustness, efficiency, and repair yield.
  • Prepare First Article inspection reports.
  • Take the lead in providing technical recommendations and technical dispositions to the Operations team.
  • Actively participate in and support continuous improvement/Kaizen projects.
  • Multi‑task other engineering‑related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with the company’s health and safety rules and regulations.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in an aerospace repair and overhaul environment.
  • Knowledge of repair processes such as welding (TIG/EBW), thermal spray, heat treatment, brazing, high pressure water jet stripping, chemical cleaning, shot peening, machining, etc.
  • Able to work in a cross‑functional team.
