Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Singapore is looking for an experienced engineer to initiate and develop repairs on aero-engine components. Applicants should have a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aeronautical Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in a repair and overhaul environment. Knowledge of various repair processes like Welding, Thermal Spray, and Machining is a plus. This role is on-site and offers a salary between $5800 to $6500.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and develop new repairs on aero-engine components.
  • Prepare and maintain work instructions for repairs.

  • Lead technical recommendations to the Operations team.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement projects.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Initiate and develop new repairs on aero-engine components.
  • Prepare and maintain work instructions for aero-engine component repairs.
  • Perform tooling/ fixture design.
  • Ensure compliance to OEM technical data and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage new machine and process qualifications.
  • In charge of process improvements to improve process robustness, process efficiency and repair yield.
  • Prepare First Article inspection reports.
  • Take the lead in providing technical recommendations and technical dispositions to the Operations team.
  • Actively participate and support continuous improvement/ Kaizen projects.
  • Multi-task other engineering-related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with the company’s health and safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an aerospace repair and overhaul environment.
  • Knowledge of repair processes such as Welding (TIG/EBW), Thermal Spray, Heat Treatment, Brazing, High Pressure Water Jet Stripping, Chemical Cleaning, Shot peening, Machining, etc. will be a plus.
