Job Scope
- Relationship Managers are high-level professionals who manage an affluent customer’s wealth holistically.
- Directly responsible for interfacing and engaging with clients on a day-to-day basis with the objective to grow and protect the clients’ wealth for the enjoyment of their successors and their heirs with consultative process.
- Relationship Managers gather information about the client’s needs & wants, then tailor a personalized strategy that uses a range of financial products and services.
- Customize investment strategies to address each client’s unique circumstances as well as specific preferences for income, liquidity, and risk.
- Where appropriate, they pursue cross-border investment opportunities to enhance returns and provide additional diversification.
- Relationship Manager (RM) is expected to achieve the annual business targets on business development, relationship management and customer profile balances based on more complex investment requirements while ensuring accurate and timely completion of the entire sales and compliance process.
Job Description
The Relationship Manager is primarily responsible for achieving business targets through the following:
- Acquisition of new high net worth customers
- Generation of additional volume from existing customers across sales channels
- Development and engagement of strong relationships with assigned customers
- Delivery of excellent customer service through investment products and service offerings
- Trust Advisory Referrals
A. Business Development
- Achieves business targets on acquiring, on-boarding and deepening of Mass affluent customers.
- Identifies and promotes a robust pipeline of prospective customers.
- Sets appointments proactively and meets with customers to establish their needs & requirements.
- Pursues marketing and solicitation of investible funds from existing and new accounts.
- Develops proposals in accordance with the requirements of each account, in line with the client’s objective and needs relative to yield safety, liquidity and diversification.
- Submits proposals and ensures follow-ups in a timely manner including preparation of call reports to apprise management of the account status.
- Conducts client presentations.
- Networks with customers in order to create new business contacts.
- Liaises proactively with branch partners for referrals and cross-sell opportunities.
- Develops and deepens relationships with assigned customers.
- Engages support of specialists to provide technical advice to customers when necessary.
- Analyzes trends in the market as well as customer profiles to identify potential opportunities for the organization.
B. Client Relationship Management
- Monitors customers’ accounts and portfolios providing proactive, timely, relevant market updates and advice through regular calls and meetings, thus building long-term relationships.
- Seeks to establish and understand customers’ real needs and expectations.
- Executes sales and investment strategies/activities effectively.
- Maximizes each client or branch interaction by building on customer cues to gain commitment to products, services, and solutions.
- Builds and develops relationships with customers –e.g., accompanying them at social/lifestyle events.
- Reviews accounts regularly to ensure the growth of the aggregate fund level.
