Job Description

As Regional Service Engineer you provide service to Globe Tracker’s customers worldwide. You interact with customers to offer on‑site and off‑site technical support for the Globe Tracker products. This position is based in Singapore and blends office work with frequent on‑site visits; travel to customer sites is common. Your average workday is 8 hours and the work week is 40 hours, though it can vary depending on the tasks at hand.

  • Be the first contact point for customers and service providers for any issues, questions, product trouble, etc.
  • Provide remote and on‑site technical support to customers and service providers.
  • Provide remote and on‑site troubleshooting and installation training.
  • Install GT systems in support of trials, testing and deployment.
  • Establish and maintain close contact with reefer unit OEMs and commissioning agents.
  • Liaise with GT Product Support & Engineering and GT IT to solve customer issues.
  • Work on‑site with depots, customers and factories requiring travel.
Globe Tracker Support
  • Support GT Engineering with product development and testing.
  • Support GT IT with product development and the development of service bulletins, installation instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Support warranty processes and continuous development and improvement of GT processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Successfully completed mid‑ or high‑level technical education, preferably in electrics and/or electronics; completed required EH&S courses; completed manufacturer‑specific training/courses.
  • Experience: More than 5 years’ hands‑on maintenance and repair experience in the reefer industry; more than 5 years’ experience interacting with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Specific skills: Strong technical background; structured fault‑finding approach; able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; fluent in English (verbal and written); fluent in Mandarin (verbal and written).
  • Personal characteristics: Calm, patient, does not panic in stressful situations; organized and structured approach to work; get‑the‑job‑done attitude; not afraid to ask for support when needed.
  • Licenses: International driver’s license; possession of certificates required to work on refrigeration systems.
