About this role

Dow Coating Materials R&D/TS&D organization is now open for a position as TS&D Technician located in Singapore, Solaris site. This role will provide lab testing supporting various Coating markets with primary focus on manufacturing plant supports on products scale‑up qualifications across five manufacturing plants, customer sampling, support exposure site activities, and coordination of customers' technical training.

Responsibilities
  • Support TS&D Specialist in formulation works, sample preparations, carry out paint characterization, and test reporting.
  • Operate lab testing equipment independently, high‑speed dispermat, viscometers, aging chambers and digital imaging stations.
  • Communicate test data to plant QC/Process teams, supporting new product scale up and qualification.
  • Maintain lab safety and cleanliness, adhering to 5S standards and Dow’s Operating Discipline Management System (ODMS). This includes full compliance to chemical handling, storage and waste disposal procedures.
  • Manage sample logistics and support technical training for customers.
  • Active participation in site safety programs and laboratory audits.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Science / Chemistry / Engineering or any other related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in chemical lab environment, on‑job training will be provided.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English.
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Words, Excel, Presentation, Outlook). Other computer programs like SAP would be added advantage.
