Job description
Quantum Software Developer (Error Correction & Fault-Tolerance)

Company Description: Entropica Labs is a Singapore-based quantum computing software company creating the software layer to support fault-tolerant quantum error correction–the ability to actively remove errors from quantum computations and unlock the transformative applications of quantum computing. Entropica Labs empowers developers, researchers, and domain experts to accelerate the arrival and adoption of fault-tolerant quantum computing.

About the team: Our team at Entropica Labs combines deep expertise in quantum computing, software engineering, quantum information, and advanced error correction methodologies to build essential tools for practical quantum error correction. If you are a creative thinker and problem solver passionate about tackling complex challenges, join us to shape the future of quantum computing.

An overview of this role: This role focuses on developing software for Quantum Error Correction (QEC), including designing APIs, implementing QEC codes, and working with low-level quantum programming (QASM, QIR, CUDA-Q). You’ll contribute to the QEC codebase, ensuring high-quality, well-tested code while collaborating with researchers and engineers to translate theory into practical tools.

Success requires strong quantum mechanics and QEC knowledge, along with software development skills in Python. Experience with Git, automated testing, and remote collaboration is essential. If you’re passionate about building scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computing solutions, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute.

What you’ll do:
  • Develop software focused on Quantum Error Correction (QEC).
  • Design and implement APIs for studying and constructing QEC codes.
  • Perform low-level programming for the QEC stack using languages such as QASM, QIR, and CUDA-Q.
  • Write clean, well-tested code that adheres to internal standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and deploy scalable solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and maintain ownership of the QEC codebase.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with the team.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and internal knowledge sharing.
What you’ll bring:
  • Strong understanding of fundamental physics concepts, particularly quantum mechanics.
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Quantum Error Correction (QEC).
  • Ability to quickly absorb and apply research findings.
  • Proficiency in software development with Python.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
  • Experience writing automated tests.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a remote environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and expand technical expertise.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
How to apply:

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter (including personal references, if possible), a resume, and a sample of relevant research work or publications.
