Job summary

A leading integrated consultancy in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates and manage contracts on diverse projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 5 years of experience in a relevant field. Proficiency in cost estimation tools such as CostX and VICO is essential. Job description

We are partnering with a leading integrated consultancy providing design, development and management services across infrastructure and building facilities, leveraging sustainability, resilience, and technology in everything we do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and cost plans during various project phases (concept, design, tender, construction)
  • Perform cost risk analyses and identify cost‑saving opportunities
  • Conduct tendering processes: prepare tender documentation, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts
  • Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and change orders
  • Monitor and report on project costs, cash flow forecasts, and cost performance against budget
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure alignment between design and cost objectives
  • Provide cost advice for value engineering and life‑cycle costing exercises
  • Conduct post‑contract cost reviews and final account settlement
  • Maintain cost databases and carry out benchmarking analysis
  • Support procurement teams in supplier negotiations and contract strategies
  • Assist in dispute resolution relating to cost or contractual matters
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of proven QS experience, preferably in infrastructure or building consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of local contract forms, procurement practices, and standard construction contracts
  • Proficiency in cost estimation tools, Microsoft Excel, and QS software (e.g., CostX, VICO)
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strong project management orientation and ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Good understanding of sustainability and green building practices is a plus
  • Professional QS certification (e.g., RICS, SIOCS) is desirable
