Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor responsible for managing measurements, cost estimates, and tender document preparation for construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Survey and at least 2-3 years of related experience, with strong communication, negotiation skills, and knowledge in both civils and architecture.

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Experience in Building / LTA project, or similar scale, complexity and nature of work will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prepare measurements and cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors.

Job Description
  • Manage and prepare the measurements and cost estimates for the construction projects from initial calculations to the final accounts.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimates for projects and tender submissions.
  • Review and study C&S, Archi, and M&E drawings.
  • Prepare contract documents in accordance to the regulations.
  • Prepare cost analysis and monitor project overruns to ensure the objectives of the project is achieved.
  • Access payment and variation works to client and subcontractors to facilitate the smooth workflow process.
  • Communicate with the client, management, sub-contractors and keep track of the progression of both main contract and sub-contract.
  • Monitor and keep track of project progress and are responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments and the final account.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with CCCC policies, processes, systems and procedures.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks assigned by superior.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Acquired with both civils and architectural knowledges is preferable.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in Building / LTA project, or similar scale, complexity and nature of work will be advantages.
