Job summary

A leading electrical management company in Singapore is seeking a professional to provide full electrical cost and commercial management services. You will be responsible for preparing tender documents, conducting cost analysis, and managing project scopes to achieve objectives. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering and has at least 5 years of experience in building installation. Strong interpretations of electrical and security drawings are essential. This role offers opportunities to work closely with main contractors across various projects.

Job Description & Requirements

Full electrical cost & commercial management services from project inception to completion, including but not limited to, budget establishment, cost estimation, cost reporting, consultant and contractor procurement, valuations, contract administration, change control and administration and final account closure. Ability to work with a main contractor across projects.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Prepare tender and contract documents in accordance with the building and construction regulations.
  • Conduct cost analysis for the project to ensure the overall value is enhanced.
  • Control project scope to meet project objectives to enhance project deliverables and key work activities.
  • Develop cost reduction strategies to enhance overall value of the project.
  • Monitor project costs to ensure objectives of the project are achieved in accordance to building contract law.
  • Oversee and ensure work is in compliance with standards.
  • Communicate with management, contractors, and sub-contractors on the adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Handle project interim and final payment claims and feedback comments regarding payment response to the management.
  • Evaluate the variation order and submit costs to the relevant organization.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and ensure that project scope is properly managed.
Requirements
  • Candidate possesses a Diploma or Degree certificate in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 years of relevant working experience in building installation.
  • Familiar and able to read electrical, Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and security system drawings.
  • Good understanding of electrical, ELV and security system specifications and contract documents such as Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC).
  • Good knowledge of the archi, structure and mechanical drawing readings.
