Job description

The Client of ours is a Multinational Conglomerate within the Electronics Industry with presence across USA, APAC and Europe. They are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to be based at their Singapore office. This is a people management role.

Additional Responsibilities
  • To lead and conduct detailed visual inspections of electronic components using microscopes and unaided vision to confirm compliance with manufacturer specifications and verify absence of damage.
  • To perform alcohol swab and scrape testing to detect black-topped or altered components.
  • Recognize indicators of suspect or counterfeit parts and elevate concerns appropriately.
  • To operate, maintain, and oversee analytical laboratory equipment, including XRF, X-ray, microscopy, decapsulation, solderability testing, curve tracing, and C-SAM.
  • To ensure precise documentation and timely entry of inspection results into proprietary data systems.
  • Create, review, and finalize comprehensive test reports in accordance with industry and customer requirements.
  • To continuously enhance laboratory test methods and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with external laboratories for equipment calibration, maintenance, and specialized testing.
  • Support ISO 17025 accreditation efforts and assist with customer audits.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory technicians while managing daily operations and enforcing safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related field;
  • At least six years of experience in electronic component inspection, testing, and counterfeit detection, with preference for supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of ESD controls and ISO 17025 laboratory systems is beneficial.
  • Experience within the electronics industry is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced laboratory environment and lead a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
