Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled QC Engineer to join our quality assurance team in a high-precision semiconductor manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing quality inspections, supporting process control, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001, and semiconductor-specific requirements. Familiarity with cleanroom protocols is essential.

Responsibilities

Conduct inspections on incoming materials, wafer fabrication processes, and final semiconductor products.

Perform First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process, and outgoing quality checks using precision instruments (e.g., CMM, SEM, profilometers).

Operate within ISO Class cleanroom environments following strict contamination control procedures.

Ensure proper gowning, handling, and movement of materials to maintain cleanroom integrity.

Apply 7QC tools and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor process stability and product quality.

Analyze inspection data to identify trends and support root cause investigations.

Prepare quality reports and contribute to weekly/monthly performance reviews.

Ensure adherence to ISO9001, ISO14001, and semiconductor-specific standards (e.g., JEDEC, IPC).

Maintain calibration records and ensure proper use of metrology equipment.

Assist in evaluating supplier quality for raw materials and outsourced components.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and support disposition of non-conforming products.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

2+ years of experience in QC or QA within the semiconductor or electronics industry.

Proficient in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, and optical measurement systems.

Familiar with semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom protocols.

Strong understanding of 7QC tools, SPC, and ISO standards.

Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
