Job summary

About the Role

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for overall Food Safety Management System of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Team Leader of BRCGS, FSSC 22000, Halal, FDA, Kosher certification
  • Implement and manage GMP, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, HACCP, SFA, Halal and other safety related documentations.
  • Conduct daily plant hygiene inspections, cleaning and sanitation validations (for example total protein residual swabs, environment and equipment swab tests).
  • Coordinate and analyse finished goods microbiological test, NIP test, shelf life test, environmental micro swab test, air monitoring and water test to ensure the product meet defined criteria before release it to the market.
  • Liaison with supplier and verify incoming raw materials and packaging materials through review of COA, TDS, MSDS, Packing List, Product Specification, Compliance Letter, incoming quality inspection, pest deformities and vessel transport conditions.
  • Monitoring the pest issue in plant, timely reviewing pest trend and monthly presentation for pest issue.
  • Involve in all QA / product development activities to ensure compliance to established SOP and regulatory guidelines.
  • Responsible for audit programs (internal and customer), 3rd party certifications, Quality System Documentation and Customer Specification Management.
  • Conduct Internal Training Programs for Food Safety, Quality, Wl, GMP and HACCP.
  • Conducting and preparing Validation and Qualification reports.
  • Reviewing quality trends and coordinate with internal teams on investigation of customer complaint regarding product quality/non-quality issue and internal nonconformance, including corrective actions and risk mitigation to prevent recurrence.
  • Performing troubleshooting, conducting product traceability, mock recall and management review.
  • Timely monitoring, reviewing and updating Wl, SOP, MMR, SCAR, Declaration of Compliance (DoC), CCP and OPRP summary plan.
  • Perform and prepare Sensory Evaluation Report.
  • Updating the calibration of measuring equipment.
  • Assist to set up, monitor and review FSMS programmes.
  • Drive continuous improvement project to sustain food quality and safety in factory.
  • Perform any additional assigned tasks by management and work to achieve company goals and department objectives.
Key Requirements
  • Food Science & Technology or equivalent.
  • 5 – 8 years of experience.
  • Prior Experience in BRC certification, compliance, document writing will be highly considered.
  • Understand BRC, FSSC 22000, SFA, HALAL regulations, food microbiology, food safety management.
  • Understand good manufacturing practice (GMP).
  • Experience in writing SOP, operating guides, training material and inspection reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, MS Words.
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
