Job summary

A procurement and events management firm in Singapore seeks a candidate for sourcing direct materials and managing supplier relationships. Responsibilities include negotiation, planning delivery schedules, and ensuring compliance with OHS policies. Candidates must be Singaporeans with a Diploma in Business or Logistics and relevant sourcing experience.

Qualifications

• Only Singaporeans are eligible.
• Must have experience in sourcing fabrication and machining of equipment.
• Knowledge in sourcing raw materials for hull structural steel, pipe fittings, and fasteners is required.

Responsibilities

• Source direct materials for projects and workshop operations.
• Arrange for inspection and renewal certification of statutory equipment.
• Negotiate, plan, and expedite delivery schedules.
• Manage purchase order processes in line with ISO 90001.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Sourcing of direct materials for jobs/projects onboard or workshop operations.
• Arrangement of inspection / renewal of certification for statutory equipment such as Lifting gears, lifting equipment.
• Responsible for sourcing and selecting suppliers at the best costs, quality, and services
• Responsible for negotiation, planning of delivery schedule and expediting.
• Develop and maintain suppliers and alternate sources
• Assist in administrative work (e.g., documents matching and controlling, etc.)
• Management of Purchase Order Processes accordance to ISO 90001
• Maintain filing system, document control as well as purchase records
• To recommend improvement in overall purchasing program which will advance the interest of the company.
• Responsible to adopt good housekeeping and overall safety practice to achieve well-organized and safe working environment which comply to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Policy

• Min Diploma in Business or Logistics
• Experience and knowledge to source fabricating / machining of equipment, tools.
• Experience and knowledge to source different grades of Raw material for Hull structural steel, Pipe, fitting, fasteners, etc. Experience and knowledge to source for services for facilities maintenance, sub-contracting jobs for workshop.
