Job summary

A marine engineering company in Singapore is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to formulate an effective vendor management system and enhance supplier networks. The candidate should have at least a Diploma in Supply Chain Management, 2 years of relevant experience in the marine/offshore industry, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, managing timely deliveries, and ensuring quality purchases.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Formulate a good vendor management system comprising:
• • Approved vendor list of Suppliers and Vendors
  • Negotiating good pricing and rebates with suppliers and vendors
  • Negotiating good payment terms from suppliers and vendors
• Broaden the supplier network in local and global markets.
• Source for products and services in a timely and effective manner.
• Expedite orders and monitor delivery to meet our commitments to the clients.
• Ensure genuine quality and reliability of every purchase that you have committed.
• Bargain and obtain the lowest prices to enable good cost savings for the company.
• Always maintain the highest time efficiency and complete every purchase on timely basis.
• Maintain good rapport with suppliers and vendors to ensure that they provide us the best in time delivery and serviceability.
• Any other duties assigned by the HOD or Management as and when necessary

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or related discipline.
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors) especially for components of RHVAC (Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning).
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in Marine / Offshore industry will be an advantage.
• Able to multi-task to meet quotation submission deadlines.
• Team player with positive attitude at work.
• Independent, resourceful and meticulous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
