A Singapore-based MNC is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to manage purchase orders and build relationships with vendors. Job Summary

• Job Title: Purchasing Assistant

Main Responsibilities

• Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain accurate data entry within MRP/SAP systems.

• Serve as the primary liaison for Mandarin or dialect-speaking vendors to build strong supplier relationships, expedite deliveries, and update Estimated Times of Arrival (ETAs).

• Arrange shipments, coordinate material purchases, and process cash requests. The role also involves sourcing alternative components when necessary to prevent production downtimes.

• Work closely with engineers and store planners to fulfill production requirements, prioritizing fixture orders alongside other purchase types (e.g., CW, SP, MO).

Requirements

• A Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.

• At least 1 year of experience in procurement or purchasing.

• Familiarity with Purchase Orders, inventory management processes, and SAP/MRP software is required.

• Organized, independent, detail-oriented, and a strong team player with problem-solving capabilities.
