Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials. Job description

Responsibilities

• Sourcing new suppliers, sending inquiries and obtaining quotes from various supplier/subcontractors as per material specifications, BOQ and approved drawings.
• Responsible for project material and equipment sourcing, compare and negotiate for best deal
• Generate purchase order / delivery instruction.
• Co-ordinate with supplier / site supervisor for delivery.
• Verify Invoice against respective PO, DI and DO
• Maintain central material price list and warehouse stock list
• Co-ordination and render support to the project team
• Admin support for Tender / Contracts Team
• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities when required or as instructed

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Nitec/Diploma in Engineering – Electrical or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the same position and industry is a must.
• Able to communicate fluently and confidently with supplier
• Possess high level of initiative, strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with site supervisors and foreign workers (Bangladesh, India and China PRC).
