OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchaser to manage our company's procurement activities. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a strong understanding of supply chain concepts, is cost-conscious and can negotiate the best possible deals to ensure the long-term success of our business.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluating vendors, comparing their products, prices and services.
  • Negotiating agreements with suppliers to ensure the best terms.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
  • Maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.
  • Reviewing quality of purchased products and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are also important for liaising with vendors and internal departments.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma in any discipline.
  • Sales experience with technical product line and has great business acumen.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and master technical concepts and articulate them well to others.
  • Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate well and think quick on your feet.
  • Outstanding relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to identify customer needs.
  • MS Office Skills & Experience on CRM systems.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Must speak English.
  • Mandarin skills appreciated.
OFFICE HOURS

Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Outside hours may be required on nights and weekends for sales or training related events.
