Job summary

A leading contact lens manufacturer in Singapore is seeking a Purchaser to manage material planning and purchasing operations. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Business or Supply Chain and at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include coordinating inventory, sourcing materials, negotiating supply agreements, processing Purchase Orders, and monitoring delivery status. This role requires detail-oriented individuals who are proactive and comfortable multi-tasking.

Join us as Purchaser and be part of our expansion. In this role, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager and be responsible for material planning and purchasing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for material planning. Coordinate with production planner to manage inventory and acquire materials in a cost effective and timely manner.
• Continuous sourcing of materials and develop alternate sources for all critical materials
• Negotiate new and review existing supply agreement
• Review Purchase Requisitions and process Purchase Orders (PO) in ERP system
• Monitor PO delivery status to ensure prompt delivery

Requirements:

• Degree in Business or Supply Chain with 3 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong in material planning
• Detailed, meticulous and is comfortable to multi-task
• Proactive, Self motivated and able to work independently
