Job summary

A leading energy company in Singapore is seeking a Project Manager to oversee Extra High Voltage substation and transmission projects. The role involves providing technical leadership, managing project scope and resources, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Candidates must have at least three years of project management experience in engineering or power-related projects, with proficiency in both English and Mandarin. Job description

Job Scopes

  • Lead the planning and execution of Extra High Voltage (EHV) substation and transmission projects, with overall responsibility for project scope, schedule, budget, and resources.

  • Provide technical leadership to engineering, procurement, and construction teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives and technical requirements.

  • Oversee and validate engineering deliverables to ensure full compliance with IEC, IEEE, regulatory, and client specifications.

  • Direct coordination across multi-disciplinary teams to resolve complex technical and interface issues efficiently.

  • Manage and guide suppliers, OEMs, and subcontractors to ensure technical compliance, quality standards, and timely delivery of equipment and materials.

  • Enforce high standards of quality assurance, quality control, and workplace safety throughout all phases of project execution.

  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for technical and site challenges, and implement effective corrective actions.

  • Chair and facilitate technical and coordination meetings, providing clear direction and ensuring timely decision-making across all project stakeholders.

Job Requirements
  1. Possesses strong knowledge of power systems relevant to project delivery and operations.

  2. Specialist Diploma in Construction Productivity (SDCP) is an added advantage.

  3. At least three (3) years of project management experience, preferably in engineering or power-related projects.

  4. Shows initiative, learns quickly and is prepared to carry out outdoor on-site work when required.

  5. Proficiency in English is required. Mandarin language proficiency is required for work-related communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and suppliers as well as for handling project documentation in Mandarin.
