Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and results‑oriented Project Manager to spearhead the planning and execution of complex power infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership across project teams while ensuring full compliance with safety, technical, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership & Delivery: Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of SP transmission and distribution projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Project Planning: Oversee detailed project planning including scheduling, resource planning, and technical execution strategies.
  • Technical Alignment: Ensure alignment with SP Group's engineering specifications, safety regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track project performance actively and lead the team to provide clear directions that bring value to the company.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for SP Group, consultants, main‑contractors, and internal teams.
  • Site Meetings: Attend regular site meetings, technical discussions, internal meetings (weekly meeting, PMO and OMO meetings) and client briefings.
  • Regulatory Relations: Manage expectations and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory authorities and utilities partners.
  • Technical Oversight & Compliance: Provide technical guidance on underground cable installation and commissioning works.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with SP PowerGrid's Code of Practice, Safety Rules and LTA/URA requirements, and other applicable agency requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Manage site inspections, testing, QA/QC processes, and audits as required by SP.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle and recommend actions to enhance project efficiency.
  • Issue Resolution: Lead the resolution of technical and operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and financial accountability.
  • Manpower Allocation: Allocate and monitor manpower, equipment, and subcontractor resources efficiently.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Coach, supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary project team including engineers, supervisors, and site personnel.
  • Safety & Improvement Culture: Promote a high‑performance culture with strong emphasis on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation including work progress reports, technical submissions, variation orders, and close‑out reports.
  • Executive Reporting: Provide timely updates to senior management and clients on project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or senior management in line with business needs.
Qualifications
  • Recognised Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an institution accredited by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in civil engineering and/or construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of SP Group procedures, utility coordination, and regulatory compliance within Singapore.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Highly self‑motivated, independent, and able to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
  • Strong passion for delivering quality results with keen attention to detail.
  • Possession of a valid Class 2 or Class 3 driving licence will be an added advantage to support site mobility.

  • Work Schedule: 6‑day work week.
  • Location: Office at No. 3 Sungei Kadut Drive, Singapore 729556 (North Singapore).
