Job summary

A leading firm in project scheduling and management in Singapore seeks a Planner/Scheduler to provide essential scheduling support for projects. This role involves developing and maintaining project schedules, conducting risk analysis, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timelines are met. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Engineering, 3 years of relevant experience in the Petrochemical, Oil and Gas industry, and proficiency in Primavera P6. Willingness to work on-site is essential.

Qualifications

  • 3 years relevant experience in Petrochemical, Oil and Gas industry preferred.
  • At least 2 years as Planner/Scheduler required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide scheduling support to assigned projects
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Develop tender schedules and resource plans, ensuring competitive and achievable timelines.
  • Participate in updating the master schedule and enterprise reporting.
  • Perform critical path and float analysis to identify schedule risks and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to define the work breakdown structure (WBS), milestones, and deadlines.
  • Ensure the schedule is aligned with the overall project goals and deadlines.
  • Work with project teams to ensure resource allocation is properly reflected in the schedule.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and execution.
  • Identify potential risks that could affect the project schedule and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure proper documentation of project-related activities, including variations, revisions, and decisions.
  • Maintain a thorough record of project milestones, timelines, and any schedule-related issues or changes.
  • Provide accurate schedule forecasts to project management and execution teams, helping inform deadlines and decision-making.
  • Prepare concise schedule narratives describing the status of assigned projects
  • Check compliance with company scheduling standard operating procedures
  • Maintain quality assurance and control on assigned project schedules
  • Perform technical data analysis and synthesize findings into resources for local and regional planning and policy documents.
  • Present qualitative and quantitative findings utilizing oral, written, and graphic communication skills.
  • Liaise with Project Manager to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise
  • Track jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
  • Prepare and submit status, performance reports. Comprehensive progress reports that detail progress measurements, S-Curve updates, productivity metrics, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure that the reports accurately reflect project performance, identify any deviations from the planned schedule, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Schedule shift according to E&C needs
  • Monitor workforce and other resource productivity during project execution.
  • Gather manpower report, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Prefer 3 years relevant experience in the Petrochemical, Oil and Gas industry, of which at least 2 years have been performed as Planner / Scheduler. Those without experience and willing to learn are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge in Primavera P6 planning software packages. Relevant experience with resource loading and scheduling to produce progress status reports.
  • Experience in actual construction is added advantage.
  • Willing to work at the project site
