Menicon Singapore Pte Ltd is Menicon’s first contact lens manufacturing facility outside Japan. It produces daily disposable contact lenses and serves as the base for developing technologies and products with advanced, value-added features.

Job Summary

Manage and support engineering projects from design review through production ramp-up while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead in engineering projects by managing design reviews and coordinating production ramp-up activities to ensure timely and quality product delivery
  • Diagnose and resolve defects and process issues by analyzing root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions to enhance product reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute optimization projects that increase equipment Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and operational efficiency
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer initiatives by coordinating with Japan headquarters to integrate advanced technologies and best practices into local operations
  • Administer change control processes and maintain critical process documentation in compliance with ISO 13485 standards to support regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to internal quality standards, safety objectives, and applicable legal regulations to maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment
Requirements
  • 8 years working experience in contact lens manufacturing
  • Knowledge of cast moulding technique
  • Strong technical knowledge of design, contact lens process defects and process optimization
  • Able to communicate in Japanese, with colleagues from HQ for knowledge transfer
  • Knowledge of ISO13485
