We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer with a passion for construction and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will play a key role in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to given schedule and within budget.

Job Role:

The Project Engineer manages planning and development of projects. Candidate develops engineering designs based on project requirements, from conceptual to schematic and detailed designs. Candidate conducts project assessments and can provide feasible and creative solutions based on the assessment results. Candidate participates in the tendering processes and monitors the work of contractors and subcontractors.

The Project Engineer is meticulous and highly detail orientated. Candidate is well versed in civil and structural engineering practices. Candidate is analytical, has excellent problem-solving skills, and possesses strong interpersonal skills essential for engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Candidate is required to work both in office or/and at project sites.

Job description:
  • Assist the PD/PM in overseeing the construction activities and progress, planning, implementation, and monitoring work schedules in accordance with the master and detailed work program.
  • Review drawings, plans and change orders to verify the structural integrity of materials and designs, and perform complex calculations and use modelling methods to ensure correct results.
  • Participate in the initial planning and bidding processes, including reviewing environmental factors, government regulations, constructions costs and risk analysis reports to prepare a comprehensive study on all relevant design factors.
  • Ensure progress in accordance with the schedule, quality standards are maintained, site inspections are carried out and technical/drawing issues are resolved on time.
  • Liaise with consultants/authorities on drawing and technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors.
  • Provide guidance to supervisors in relation to site works.
  • Ensure site safety and prepare safe work procedures with safety personnel.
Job requirements:
  • Recognised Degree in Building Construction Management, Civil and/or Structural Engineering, building discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Singapore Construction Industry preferred
