Job description
Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute marine engineering projects such as ship repair, shipbuilding, offshore structures, and marine equipment installation.

  • Liaise with ship owners, clients, classification societies, and port authorities to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Prepare project schedules, work plans, method statements, and technical documentation.

  • Supervise onboard and yard activities including fabrication, installation, commissioning, and testing of marine systems.

  • Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations, class rules (ABS, DNV, LR, BV), and international standards.

  • Monitor project progress, quality, cost control, and timelines; report any deviations to management.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for materials, manpower, and equipment.

  • Conduct inspections, attend surveys, and support class/flag state approvals.

  • Ensure proper implementation of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures at work sites.

  • Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and project handover documentation.

  • Support troubleshooting and rectification of technical issues during project execution.

  • Assist in project budgeting, cost estimation, and variation order management.
