A marine engineering company in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to plan and execute marine engineering projects, including ship repair and offshore structures. Responsibilities include liaising with clients, supervising activities, ensuring safety compliance, and preparing documentation. Plan, coordinate, and execute marine engineering projects such as ship repair, shipbuilding, offshore structures, and marine equipment installation.
Liaise with ship owners, clients, classification societies, and port authorities to ensure project requirements are met.
Prepare project schedules, work plans, method statements, and technical documentation.
Supervise onboard and yard activities including fabrication, installation, commissioning, and testing of marine systems.
Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations, class rules (ABS, DNV, LR, BV), and international standards.
Monitor project progress, quality, cost control, and timelines; report any deviations to management.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for materials, manpower, and equipment.
Conduct inspections, attend surveys, and support class/flag state approvals.
Ensure proper implementation of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures at work sites.
Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and project handover documentation.
Support troubleshooting and rectification of technical issues during project execution.
Assist in project budgeting, cost estimation, and variation order management.
