A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking a Project Director to oversee the project department's execution. This role involves managing multiple projects, sourcing M&E initiatives, and coordinating various stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in engineering leadership, cloud technologies, and project management, along with relevant educational qualifications.

Qualifications

• Work experience as a director of engineering or senior-level position.
• Extensive experience with cloud technologies.
• MEP experience preferred.
• Data Centre background and experience.
• Hands-on experience in back-end and front-end development.

Job description

Project Director / Head of Engineering & Project

Leading and overall management of the project department in the execution of projects.

Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the project team and managing risks for the successful conclusion of projects.

Oversees multiple projects and managing resources to ensure projects are progressing on time and within budget.

Responsible for sourcing and monitoring M&E projects for the company.

Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and labourers etc.

Propose M&E projects/business plan and obtain necessary budget/investment approval.

Monitor the time schedule, quality, and cost control for the projects.

Prepare and execute contingency plan for any unforeseeable situation.

Organize and direct Company’s resources, personnel, and facilities as and when required, to manage the projects efficiently and effectively.

Report regularly to Head Office on the progress of different projects.

Handle ad hoc assignments or tasks as required.

Requirements

• Work experience as a director of engineering or in a similar senior-level position at an engineering department.
• Extensive experience with cloud technologies and modern human-computer interfaces.
• MEP Experienced preferred
• Data Centre background and experience
• Hands‑on experience in back‑end and front‑end development.
• Good understanding of agile methodologies.
• Leadership abilities with a strategic mind.
• Excellent project management skills.
