Project Director

We are currently looking to hire a Project Director. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your skill set and achieve job satisfaction and work-life balance. I\'ve included more details below.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction, leadership, and oversight for public sector project(s) from initiation to completion.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, in alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a primary point of contact between client departments, government agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage RFP/RFQ processes, vendor onboarding, and third-party collaboration.
• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities, including detailed reporting to government bodies.
• Drive compliance with government norms, audit requirements, and statutory guidelines.
• Facilitate coordination with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, finance, IT, and legal.
• Identify risks, create mitigation strategies, and resolve project roadblocks.
• Conduct regular reviews with internal teams and government representatives to ensure alignment.
• Ensure knowledge transfer, capacity building, and stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Proven track record of leading large public sector/government projects (e.g., e-Governance, Smart City, Infrastructure, Public Health IT, etc.)
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes, contract management, and regulatory frameworks.
• Expertise in program/project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Prince2, Agile).
• Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Strong budgeting, financial control, and resource planning experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high-level presentations and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, Public Administration, or related field.
• PMP / Prince2 / Agile certifications (preferred).
• Experience working with Central or State Government departments, PSUs, or multilateral donor-funded projects (e.g., World Bank, ADB).
• Familiarity with digital governance frameworks, IT infrastructure, or urban development programs is an advantage.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to PPP models, Smart Cities Mission, Digital India initiatives, or public financial systems.
• Understanding of social impact, public grievance redressal systems, or RTI/RTS compliance.

Experience in working with government dashboards, MIS reporting, or policy frameworks.
