Project Director, Data Centre

Location: Singapore

Right now I am partnering with a leading developer who is gearing up for a major data centre project in Singapore. I am looking to speak with Project Directors who can take full ownership of a high spec build from pre-con through to commissioning and handover.

Formal process and mobilisation will kick off in early 2026, but we want to identify the right person early. Early interest will be appreciated and reviewed first.

You will be the person setting the strategy, building the team and being the main point of contact for investors, authorities and the delivery partners.

The role

• Lead the full project lifecycle from early strategy through to handover
• Build and manage a high performing project team and supply chain
• Own budget, risk and commercial decisions
• Work closely with local authorities, utilities and investors in Singapore
• Drive a strong safety culture while still hitting programme

They are not looking for a micromanager. They want someone who can see around corners, make decisions and keep a complex project moving.

What they are looking for

Background can be civil, MEP or commercial. What matters is that you have led major jobs and know how to deliver.

Non negotiable:

• Recent, proven experience delivering large scale data centre projects
• Hands on involvement in commissioning and handover in the last 3 to 5 years

Ideally you are:

• A fixer. You see problems early and deal with them
• Used to working in complex regulatory environments. Singapore experience is a big plus, but strong international DC delivery is also of interest
• Focused on outcomes. Safe, on time, on budget delivery
