We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager for one of our global shipping clients. The Procurement manager will oversee and optimize their procurement processes for goods and services related to their fleet operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services necessary for the smooth operation of their vessels.

Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Formulate and execute efficient procurement strategies aimed at achieving cost-effectiveness and enhancing the reliability of the organization's supply chain.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Foster and sustain strong partnerships with suppliers, engage in contract negotiations, and oversee supplier performance to guarantee adherence to quality, delivery, and cost benchmarks.
  • Risk Management: Recognize and address procurement risks by implementing robust risk management strategies and contingency plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all procurement operations.
  • Budget Oversight: Work closely with the technical and finance teams to develop and supervise budgets, regularly monitoring and reporting on procurement activities.
