Job summary

A company specializing in engineering solutions in Singapore is looking for a procurement officer. This role involves sourcing materials based on technical specifications, processing purchase orders, and managing documentation. Candidates should hold a diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or any field and should ideally have at least 2 years of related experience. However, applications from fresh graduates are also welcome. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Source materials/equipment according to technical specifications for review.
• Process purchase orders and manage purchasing documentation.
• Coordinate shipment arrival for timely delivery of orders.
• Handle incoming invoices and related processes.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Source materials/equipment according to technical specifications or their equivalence for requestor/shop inspection engineering departments’ review and acceptance before purchasing them. Coordinate with suppliers/vendors and clients, project teams, QC department for Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) as and when required.
• Process purchase orders.
• Fill and update all purchasing-related documentation (POs and documents etc.).
• Handle purchasing work, incoming invoices, and AR/AP and x-charge processes.
• Coordinate/expedite the arrival of shipment to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Coordinate closely the requestor and site on the manufacturing delivery progress status.
• Other assignments may be required by immediate superior.
