Job summary

A building materials supplier in Singapore is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to support the purchasing manager with sourcing and ordering factory steel accessories. This role requires effective communication in both English and Mandarin to liaise with local and overseas suppliers. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, able to work independently, and has a keen eye for detail. A minimum diploma is required for this position.

• Experience with MES and ERP systems is a plus.

• Source and order factory steel accessories from various vendors both local and overseas.
• Communicate effectively with Chinese suppliers (must be able to read, converse and write Chinese).
• Handle order tracking, payment arrangement and logistic coordination.
• Prepare and maintain purchasing records and price lists.
• Liaise with production team to ensure timely delivery of goods,
• Perform other purchasing related tasks as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Able to communicate in both English and Mandarin which is essential to liaise with local and Chinese vendors,
• Techsavvy and familiar with online platform.
• Familiar with both MES and ERP systems is a plus.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Fast learner, energetic, meticulous and have an eye for detail.
• Minimum Diploma and above.
