About the Role

BAUMANN Springs Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer - Stamping to lead and optimize our stamping and subsequent production processes, delivering exceptional quality and efficiency to meet growing customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end progressive stamping processes, surface treatment, and downstream operations.
  • Review customer technical drawings and generate accurate cost calculations and technical proposals aligned with customer requirements and in-house capabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain control plans, FMEAs, and control specifications to ensure production quality and process robustness.
  • Coordinate tooling design and fabrication processes; provide input and oversee external tool procurement.
  • Provide timely and competitive project timelines and quotations in collaboration with Sales to meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with design, production, and quality teams to resolve production issues, manage prototype sample builds, and facilitate new part transfers to mass production.
  • Execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), ensuring all impacted departments update processes and schedules accordingly.
  • Conduct detailed data analyses and continuous process improvements using Six Sigma and quality control tools.
  • Communicate effectively at all organizational levels while working independently and managing multiple priorities under pressure.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in stamping process engineering, preferably with automotive or medical manufacturing exposure.
  • Strong comprehension of progressive stamping tools, metal forming, surface treatment, and fabrication processes.
  • Proficient in control plans, FMEA, quality tools (Six Sigma/QC tools), and understanding of industrial standards such as IATF16949 and/or ISO13485.
  • Familiarity with technical drawing interpretation, engineering documentation, and AutoCAD software.
  • Knowledge of purchasing procedures related to tooling and assembly aids.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage cross-functional teams, and liaise with vendors for timely delivery of tooling and components.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills.
