Job summary

A leading chemical company in Singapore is seeking a Process Chemist to design and run experiments that support manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and experience in chemical R&D or manufacturing. Key responsibilities include coordinating technical transfers and ensuring compliance with GMP regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a lab environment, as well as the willingness to support critical production campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields with at least 1 year relevant experience.
  • Experience in organic synthesis or process chemistry is desirable.
  • Willing to work in a manufacturing business field with a combination of lab work.
  • Able to work in a chemical laboratory environment and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run experiments and analytical work reflecting manufacturing constraints.
  • Coordinate end-to-end technical transfer of new products.
  • Support stable production by driving campaign and conducting quality assessments.
  • Investigate technical issues during production with root-cause analysis.
  • Develop and implement chemical and biocatalytic manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory expectations.
