Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal Brand Creative to lead and execute Chello’s brand expression across visual identity, content, graphic design, and photoshoots. This is a senior, hands-on creative role with strong ownership over creative execution and brand standards.
This role will work hand in hand with the Head of Creative, partnering closely to bring Chello’s creative vision to life through high-quality, cohesive, and emotionally resonant outputs. You will also collaborate directly with the Founder and marketing team to ensure alignment between brand vision, creative direction, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Expression & Creative Execution
- Translate Chello’s creative vision into strong, cohesive brand expression across all channels
- Ensure consistency in aesthetic, tone, and quality across campaigns, content, and assets
- Uphold and refine brand visual standards through hands‑on involvement
Hands‑On Visual & Graphic Design
- Lead and execute graphic design across brand and campaign assets (digital and print)
- Develop and maintain visual systems including typography, colour, layout, and graphic language
- Personally create and refine key visual assets where needed
- Review creative outputs to ensure high standards of craft and detail
Content & Photoshoot Direction
- Conceptualise and direct photoshoots and campaigns in collaboration with the Head of Creative
- Develop creative concepts, moodboards, and shot lists
- Provide on‑set creative direction alongside photographers, stylists, and production teams
- Oversee post‑production and final asset selection
Collaboration & Creative Partnership
- Work hand in hand with the Head of Creative to align on creative direction, priorities, and standards
- Partner closely with the Founder and marketing team on campaigns and brand initiatives
- Collaborate with internal creative team members and contributors
- Brief and manage external creatives, including photographers, designers, and agencies
Creative Excellence & Growth
- Stay attuned to trends in fashion, branding, and visual culture
- Balance creative ambition with commercial goals and timelines
- Continuously refine creative workflows, tools, and standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a senior creative, brand, or design role
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity work, graphic design systems, campaigns, and photoshoot direction
- Excellent eye for typography, composition, colour, and visual storytelling
- Comfortable being both strategic and deeply hands‑on
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience in fashion, lifestyle, or design‑led brands preferred
