Job summary

A logistics company in Singapore is seeking a Shipping / Logistics Assistant. Responsibilities include managing relationships with overseas agents, handling marine insurance claims, and assisting with customer shipment arrangements. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in logistics and is bilingual in English and Mandarin. This is a full-time position offering a salary of up to $3300 plus performance bonus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in Shipping/Logistics/Freight.
• Knowledge of overseas shipping agencies (Southeast Region) is an advantage.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain working relationships with overseas agents.
• Identify new agents and correspond with overseas agents.
• Report and handle regional office’s Agency Agreement matters.
• Assist with direct customers’ supply & shipment arrangements.
• Handle marine insurance claims, including cargo claims.
• Monitor new Agent code creation in our CW1 system.

Location: Henderson Road (Nearest MRT: Tiong Bahru MRT)

Working hours: 5 days / office hours

Salary: Up to $3300+ Performance Bonus (commensurate with experience)

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain working relationships with overseas agents, including selecting and recommending new agents.
• Identify new agents to work with and correspond with overseas agents.
• Report and handle regional office’s Agency Agreement matters.
• Renew yearly liability insurance policy.
• Assist on direct customers’ supply & shipment arrangements when necessary, for existing customers.
• Handle marine insurance claims, including cargo claims and liability claims.
• Monitor new Agent code creation in our CW1 system, including agent background checks.
• Build and maintain relationships with overseas agents; recommend new agents when necessary to the BD team.

Requirements
