Responsibilities
The PMO/ Project Quality Assurance role is responsible for ensuring that all projects adhere to established governance frameworks, quality standards, and compliance requirements. This role provides oversight, guidance, and support to project teams to maintain consistency, improve delivery performance, and mitigate risks across the project portfolio.
Project Deliverable Tracking
- Maintain a centralized tracker for all project deliverables, milestones, and deadlines.
- Monitor progress against the project plan and proactively identify delays or risks to timely delivery.
- Ensure dependencies between deliverables are clearly documented and managed.
Artefact Review & Quality Assurance
- Review project artefacts (e.g., business requirements, design documents, test documentation, status reports etc) for timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal compliance standards.
- Validate that artefacts meet agreed quality criteria before submission or approval.
- Provide feedback and guidance to project teams to address gaps or inconsistencies.
Stakeholder Coordination & Follow-Up
- Engage with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to confirm deliverable ownership and timelines.
- Follow up on outstanding deliverables and escalte delays to relevant stakeholders when necessary.
- Facilitate regular check-ins and status updates to ensure alignment on requirements and expectations.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure all mandatory artefacts are submitted and stored in the designated repository.
- Track adherence to governance processes and elevate non-compliance issues.
Reporting
- Provide regular updates on deliverable status, overdue items, and quality assurance findings.
- Present insights and recommendations to project / technical delivery managers
Others
- Coordinate information for adhoc internal / audit RFI requests
Requirements
- Degree in IT / Project Management or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of IT Project Support experience, preferably in banking/financial industry or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience in large-scale, multi-project environments.
- Have a good understanding of Project Life Cycle and basic understanding of project methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
- Innovative and have past track records of introducing process improvement.
- Very strong organisational and analytical skills, is meticulous with details.
- Highly-motivated self-starter and strong team player and able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Excellent communication / interpersonal skills and able to communicate well with senior stakeholders.
- Good attitude, coachable and able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with the information handled during the course of work.
- Able to multitask, work in a fast paced environment, handle high degree stress and meet deadlines
Key Domain/ Technical Skills
- Advance knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- PMP, Quality Management certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Confluence, JIRA etc)
