Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm is seeking a Chemical Engineer specializing in Material Planning located in Tuas. The role involves supervising operations, ensuring safety, and developing cost-effective procedures. Candidates must hold a degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry and have at least 2 years of relevant experience. The position offers a basic salary of $3700 to $4000, Monday to Friday working hours, and benefits such as company transport or allowances.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • At least 2 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage functions of Repacking/Containment/ICW operations and Maintenance.
  • Monitor the safe process flow and backlog level of TIW waste.
  • Ensure effective coordination with operation, sales team, and customer service.
  • Manage outgoing containment budget and encourage recycling to save cost.
  • Conduct daily inspections of operation processes and monitor safety.
  • Lead daily safety toolbox meetings and ensure PPE compliance.
  • Review existing procedures for cost-effective plant operations.
  • Collaborate with lab chemists to develop new treatment methods.
  • Ensure EHS compliance and maintain good housekeeping at the site.
  • Prepare and analyze operation records and reports.
  • Compile annual budget for approval and ensure expenditure compliance.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules with operation and engineering staff.
  • Conduct training for safety handling of waste and PPE requirements.
  • Activate emergency response teams and monitor incident responses.
  • Liaise with EHS department for safety practices and drills.
