Material Planner
- To ensure that the right materials are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right cost to support smooth production and customer delivery. It’s a critical link between production planning, suppliers and manufacturing.
- Achieve production continuity to keep assembly lines running without interruptions due to material shortages. Cost control management to minimize excess inventory and reduces working capital tied up in stock. High customer centricity with ensuring on-time delivery of finished products by avoiding material shortages.
- Risk mitigation through adjustments of reorder point or safety buffers to absorb demand or supply fluctuations. Process improvement using tools like SAP HANA, VBA Macros, AI or automation to improve efficiency by reducing repetitive work process.
Your main responsibilities:
- Continuous improvement processes & automation in accordance with Grundfos Production System
- Initiate business reviews with key suppliers based on monthly leadtime precision of supplies
- Issue Purchase Orders to suppliers in accordance with planning process & reorder points
- Meticulous follow up on order confirmations & delivery status with suppliers
- Manage Sales Orders & deliver materials to inter- companies and fulfill request delivery dates
- Ensure optimal inventory levels are kept and prevent obsolescence materials across the chain.
- Shipment tracking for timely arrival of materials and update in SAP HANA system
- Manage material re-order points, product lead time, forecast sign off with suppliers
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders on solutions to resolve material delay or shortages
- Production Planning duties which include planning finished product for assembly at shop floor
- Bill of Materials checking and new part number extension into the SAP system
Your background:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, etc.
- Experience in SAP HANA, Microsoft Office, Power BI, VBA Macros
- Certified Supply Chain Professional, APCIS
- 3 to 5 years of experience in material or production planning logistics
