Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore seeks a skilled Business Translator specializing in Japanese-English documents. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in business translation, preferably in banking, and must demonstrate native Japanese capabilities or possess JLPT N1 certification. Responsibilities include translating documents, ensuring compliance with MAS regulations, and providing operational support to the team. The position offers a permanent contract with a competitive salary package.

Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Translation of documents relating to Head Office Applications, reports and related documents, ensuring compliance with MAS requirements and department’s English Translation Procedure Manual.
  • Consult with Relationship Manager (RM) about accuracy, arrangements, and details of translation of Head Office Applications and reports as well as related documents.
  • Conduct World Check screening and data update for compliance check/risk evaluation.
  • Support RMs in any other duties as assigned by Department Head.
  • Support Assistant RMs in their operational tasks on an ad‑hoc basis.

Mon to Fri, 8:50 AM – 5:30 PM

Up to $4,500 + 3 months VB

Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in business translation, preferably in the banking industry.
  • Native Japanese language capabilities or JLPT N1 certification; candidate must translate documents in Japanese to English and vice versa.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Meticulous and ability to work under tight timelines.
  • Good time management skills and can handle multiple workstreams concurrently.
