Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical company in Singapore is seeking a PAT Scientist for a one-year contract. This role involves developing and implementing real-time Process Analytical Technology (PAT) methods and ensuring seamless technology transfers between R&D and manufacturing. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, 1-2 years of experience in similar roles, and hands-on experience with PAT tools. Immediate starters are preferred. About the job PAT Scientist (1 year contract) | Pharma MNC | West

Jobscope:

  • Develop and implement real-time Process Analytical Technology (PAT) methods to enhance process understanding, optimization, and control.
  • Act as a key link between R&D PAT activities (at both laboratory and pilot plant scales) and manufacturing, ensuring seamless technology transfers across sites.
  • Drive the procurement, commissioning, and qualification of new PAT equipment, including integration with DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and computer system qualification.
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of novel PAT applications and techniques to advance chemistry and process monitoring capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Min. Bachelors Degree in Analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related discipline
  • Min. 1-2 years in similar functions
  • Hands‑on experience with spectroscopic PAT tools (NIR, Raman, FTIR, UV/Vis), probes and chemometric/multivariate analysis tools (e.g.SIMCA, or equivalent).
  • Practical experience integrating PAT systems with process control systems, preferably DeltaV DCS or other major DCS platforms.
  • Experience with Computer System Validation (CSV) and authoring IQ/OQ/PQ, validation plans and GxP documentation.
  • Familiarity with OT network concepts and OT/IT integration considerations, including network segmentation, firewalls, secure remote access and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements for data integrity, GxP, and engineering/EHS standards.
  • Immediate starter is an advantage
