A major global real estate company is seeking an Onsite Desktop Support Engineer in Singapore. This role involves deploying software patches, remediating PC vulnerabilities, and assisting with provisioning. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Windows OS troubleshooting, Microsoft Office tools, and effective communication. This position supports global IT teams and requires a proactive approach to task management and documentation. Candidates should be eager to contribute to process improvements in a dynamic team environment.
Deploy Microsoft and non-Microsoft software patches promptly.
Remediate PC vulnerabilities identified by the Cybersecurity team.
Follow up with users on patching issues and send timely reminders.
Support testing and implementation of automated patching tools.
Maintain accurate PC records in ServiceNow’s Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module.
Assist with PC provisioning and disposal activities.
Investigate and resolve issues during software update deployments (e.g., Adobe, Java, Zoom).
Document patching activities and track progress consistently.
Prepare and submit monthly reports on vulnerability status and resolution metrics.
Contribute to automation efforts and process improvements.
Support team productivity through documentation and reporting.
Note:
The engineer will operate under the Company’s direction and report to the PC Patching Team Lead.
Proficient in Windows OS troubleshooting and command-line utilities.
Skilled in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, RPA, and mail merge.
Experienced in software installation and remote desktop support.
Strong follow-up and task management capabilities.
Familiar with IS&T standard operating procedures.
Effective communicator with global IT team collaboration experience.
