Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement and monitor Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies at various project sites. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Safety Management or a related field, along with a Safety Coordinator Certificate. Key responsibilities include conducting safety inspections and training, ensuring compliance with WSH regulations, and maintaining safety documentation. This role requires strong communication and coordination skills, along with the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Safety Management or related field.
• Must possess a Safety Coordinator Certificate (WSQ / MOM recognized).
• At least 2–3 years of relevant site safety experience.
• Knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and site practices.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and handle site responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies at project sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Ensure compliance with MOM, WSH regulations, and company safety standards.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and safety training for workers.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors on safety matters.
• Maintain proper safety documentation, permits, and records.
• Promote a strong safety culture on site.
