Job description

The Officer, Equity Settlement role is an entry level position responsible for providing operations support services for trades reconciliation/settlement and share transfer related process. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide operations support for Trade Settlement, Shares Transfer / Scrip Conversion, and Equity Linked Notes settlement.
  • Perform investigation/reconciliation for positions holdings and internal Bank accounts.
  • Timely handling of transactions, meeting and exceeding the Service expectation with internal and external clients.
  • Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to resolve complex problems.
  • Monitor work progression ensuring completion of assignments by requested due date
  • Uses professional judgment, discretion, and business expertise to resolve varied and complex issues that have notable impact on the business.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience of Trade settlements, Equity Linked Notes, Shares Transfer / Scrip Conversions for Equities will be added advantage.
  • Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Willing to contribute and work as a team, including overtime or on weekends/public holidays to support business activities/projects on a need to basis
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • Degree Holder or Diploma in Business Administration, Banking & Finance or other relevant qualifications
