Job summary

A kitchen service provider in Singapore is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for a one-month contract. The role involves preparing ingredients for lessons, maintaining cleanliness in kitchens, assisting with orders, and managing stock. Candidates should have at least secondary education, preferably with experience in a secondary school kitchen. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with no requirements during public holidays.

Qualifications

• Preferably at least secondary education.
• Preferably 1 year of experience as an FCE Kitchen Assistant in a secondary school.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients trays for practical lessons and exams.
• Maintain cleanliness of two kitchens and Staff Lounge 2.
• Assist with food, kitchen equipment, and cleaning material orders.
• Track ingredients stock and expiry dates.
• Wash and fold kitchen towels and aprons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients trays for practical lessons and exams.

• Maintain cleanliness of two NFS kitchens and Staff Lounge 2 (sweeping, mopping, cleaning tables, sinks, clearing waste).

• Assist with food, kitchen equipment, and cleaning material orders.

• Track ingredients stock and expiry dates; clean refrigerators (June & October).

• Wash and fold kitchen towels and aprons.

• Report defects in kitchen equipment to OM.

• Perform other duties assigned by Principal, VP, OM, or AM.

• Services not required during school holidays unless requested; extra hours paid pro-rata.

• Candidate should be able to communicate in simple English and have basic cooking ability.

• Contractor must ensure personnel insurance coverage.

• Preferably at least secondary education.

• Preferably 1 year of experience as an FCE Kitchen Assistant in a secondary school.

Duration / Working Hours:

1 month contract (Immediate)

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of one(1) hour lunch break

Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
