About the Role
Macrogen APAC provides cutting-edge Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and genomic analysis services to research institutes, hospitals, biotech companies and government agencies across the Asia-Pacific region.
We are looking for an NGS Service Sales Manager who will engage directly with customers, introduce Macrogen's genomic services, understand project requirements, and manage end-to-end sequencing order processes.
This is a customer-facing technical sales role suited for candidates who have both scientific understanding and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales activities to achieve monthly/quarterly targets in Singapore
- Identify new business opportunities and manage existing customer accounts
- Prepare quotations, manage the order process, and follow up on POs and invoicing
- Conduct on-site and virtual meetings to present NGS services and discuss project needs
Customer Engagement & Technical Consultation
- Explain NGS workflows, sequencing platforms, sample requirements and data output to customers
- Provide consultation on appropriate services (WGS, WES, RNA-seq, Microbiome, Single-Cell, etc.)
- Support customer education through seminars, webinars, and technical presentations
- Guide customers on sample preparation, submission guidelines, and quality requirements
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with laboratory, bioinformatics, and operations teams to manage ongoing projects
- Communicate customer feedback and requirements to internal teams for service improvement
- Coordinate with global HQ and APAC offices when needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genomics, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of experience in NGS, sequencing services, laboratory services, or technical sales
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to explain scientific concepts in a clear and concise manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on knowledge of NGS workflows, sequencing platforms, or genomics analysis
- Experience working with research institutes, universities, hospitals, or biotech companies
- Proven track record in B2B scientific or lab service sales
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to manage multiple customer requests
