Job summary

A safety management firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced Safety Officer to oversee SHE activities and ensure compliance with occupational safety standards. The role involves conducting safety inductions, managing training, and performing site inspections. Candidates with a background in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power industries and safety certifications will have an advantage. Job description

Overview

This role need to do international travel such as Saudi, turkmenistan etc. Candidates who have safety experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Power industries would have an added advantage.

Job Scope

• Monitor and measure company SHE activities including preparation of statistics / reports.
• Conduct Safety Induction to all new employees
• Ensure legal fulfilment with occupational safety and health standards and yearly ISO 45001 & BizSAFE certification audit requirements.
• Promote SHE awareness activities and campaign to achieve SHE certifications/awards.
• Assist procurement department for the procurement of safety related items.
• Apply for WSH performance awards with WSH council
• Issue monthly Safety Bulletin
• Act as SGSecure representative for the company and provide awareness sessions on nations security initiates
• Act as First Aider if needed.
• Act as Emergency contact and assist to liaise with MHIAP-Admin and Gateway Fire Safety Management
• Act as point of contact for GPP(ENV) with MHI-HQ
• Conduct periodic site inspections and advise on preventive/corrective actions to ensure compliance by project teams.
• Provide support services such as advisory to site personnel &/or resolve SHE related matters, meetings with clients &/or authorities, and issuance of Personal Protective Equipment.
• To work at the project site as WSHO cum ECO if needed as project employee.
• Provide SHE Plan, Management System and/or procedures to facilitate the projects bidding process.
• Conduct training need analysis to identify SHE training gaps
• Plan & arrange safety trainings with suitable training service providers to ensure that adequately trained or certified personnel resources are available at all times in the Company.
• Manage safety personnel including selection of sub-contractors/outsourcing service providers to ensure legal/contractual requirements are fulfilled.
• Develop safety management group to ensure SHE Management system is implemented in compliance with regulations, laws & employment standards.
