Job summary

A financial services firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage cash operations, verify invoices, and perform bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles and hold a Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to support month-end closing activities.

Job description

• Verify invoices, supporting documents, and required approvals.
• Process payments, staff expense claims, and receipt submissions.
• Manage cash requirements and related reporting, including maintaining the cashbook.
• Maintain fixed deposit records, interest schedules, and provide timely maturity alerts.
• Update FX rates regularly for relevant transactions.
• Prepare weekly cash balance reports for consolidation across all entities.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Handle intercompany billing when required and perform monthly intercompany reconciliations.
• Support month-end closing activities by preparing journals and schedules.
• Oversee day-to-day operational and accounting tasks.
• Handle GST (quarterly) and VAT submissions (bi-monthly) as required.
• Maintain organized filing systems, including bank advices and archives.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned by management.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

• Diploma in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification (e.g., LCCI, CBS).
• At least 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles.
