Job description

Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and maintain Checkpoint firewalls to protect the network perimeter and application environments.
• Develop and implement firewall policies and rule sets aligned with security standards and business requirements.
• Investigate and resolve firewall-related issues, including performance degradation, security incidents, and application connectivity problems.
• Support application migration activities onto Checkpoint firewalls, including segmentation design and rule adjustments.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of network security concepts, firewall architecture, security policies, and threat detection best practices.
• Configure and optimize Cisco routers and switches to enhance performance, stability, and security.
• Implement routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Configure and manage switching technologies such as VLANs, spanning tree, and Quality of Service (QoS).
• Design and implement network infrastructure using Cisco technologies.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, and network device issues across complex environments.
• Design, plan, and implement Cisco ACI solutions based on business requirements.
• Configure and deploy Cisco ACI fabrics, including policies, application profiles, VRFs, and related components.
• Implement network segmentation using ACI constructs such as bridge domains and endpoint groups (EPGs).
• Integrate Cisco ACI with network devices and services, including firewalls and load balancers.
• Monitor ACI infrastructure, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize for stability, performance, and security.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams regarding ACI implementation, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with establishing and enforcing best practices for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network devices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering or related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching, including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting complex network environments involving Cisco ISE, Cisco ACI, Juniper, Fortinet, and Checkpoint firewalls.
• Experience configuring devices in standalone, high‑availability (HA), and virtualized environments.
• Certifications such as CCNA Routing & Switching and CCNP Routing & Switching are required.
