Job Overview: The Mutual Fund Product Manager will manage and enhance the bank’s fund platform for Private Wealth clients. This includes fund selection, due diligence, market insights, and model portfolio support for Relationship Managers and Investment Consultants. The role also involves collaboration with regional teams and external fund managers to deliver high-quality investment solutions and strengthen the bank’s wealth management offerings in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Fund Selection & Due Diligence
- Evaluate and approve new traditional and alternative funds (e.g., equity, fixed income, multi-asset, hedge funds, private markets).
- Perform qualitative and quantitative due diligence to assess managers, strategies, performance, risks, and suitability.
- Maintain oversight of existing funds through periodic reviews.
Daily Management of Fund Platform
- Monitor fund performance, risks, AUM shifts, fee changes, portfolio manager changes, etc.
- Keep fund documentation updated and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Identify underperforming or misaligned funds for potential removal or replacement.
Advisory Support to RMs and ICs
- Provide investment insights, fund recommendations, market intelligence, and product positioning to sales teams.
- Help RMs prepare for client meetings with fund-specific angles and talking points.
- Curate and maintain model portfolios to guide client allocations.
Product Training & Communication
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for RMs/ICs on new funds, asset classes, or market outlook updates.
- Prepare product notes, fund commentaries, market briefings, and FAQ documents.
- Present in client seminars or marketing events for Wealth Management high-net-worth clients.
Collaboration with External Asset Managers
- Work closely with global/regional fund houses (BlackRock, Fidelity, PIMCO, etc.).
- Coordinate product presentations, fund launches, and due diligence meetings.
- Align on materials, product marketing, and investment insights.
Regional Role Involvement
- Support regional initiatives across Taiwan/Greater China.
- Participate in cross-border fund projects, platform enhancements, and regulatory alignment.
Requirements
Academic & Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Strong grounding in investment concepts, portfolio analysis, and fund structures.
Experience
- 5–7 years in:
- Mutual fund product management
- Fund selection & due diligence
- Wealth management or private banking environment
Product Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- Traditional funds: equity, fixed income, mixed assets
- Alternative funds: hedge funds, private market vehicles
- Ability to assess fund mandate, investment process, risk metrics, and suitability.
Communication & Presentation Skills
- Experience conducting:
- RM/IC product training
- Client seminars for high-net-worth individuals
- Internal product briefings
- Ability to convert complex fund concepts into simple selling points.
Stakeholder Management
- Strong collaboration skills with:
- Internal teams (ICs, RMs, Compliance, Risk, Product Approval)
- External fund managers and partners

Language Requirement
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin, ascommunication with Taiwan/Greater China teams and clients requires Traditional Chinese.
