Roles & Responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible for repair of Aircraft components and reports to Operations Engineer (MRO).

  • Perform welding (TIG) using approved maintenance data, tool list and/ or work instruction.
  • Establishing/Revising work instruction and tool list for new parts and any changes.
  • Carry out inspection as required in maintenance data, work instruction and/or process sheet.
  • Carry out other maintenance works as required in maintenance data, process sheet.
  • Follow procedures and guidelines to meet operational requirements and quality standards.
  • Record the welding/maintenance result in document or report which issued in the work-pack. Recording must be neat, tidy and readable.
  • Perform an assessment of risk of the activities and take corrective and preventive actions.
  • Report any incidents, hazardous conditions, and emergencies to the supervisor.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as and when required.
  • Carry out routine machine, holding fixture and tooling preventive maintenance and workshop housekeeping.
  • Assist Operations Engineer in others tasks when require.
Requirements
  • Minimum GCE N/O/NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical or related disciplines.
  • Candidates with NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or TIG welding experience is preferred.
  • At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Aerospace, manufacturing or welding experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to support occasional overtime work
